It is a matter of great pleasure to
inform you that the Chess Coaching Camp
for participants scheduled to represent
INDIA at the forthcoming World Youth
Chess Championships at TURKEY in Nov'09
was Inaugurated today with much fanfare.
We have enclosed some of the photographs
of the Inauguration and the Training
session.
Sri P.K.Pradhan, I.A.S.,The Director of
Sports and Youth Services, Govt of
Orissa, was the Chief Guest of the
Inauguration Ceremony and made the
Ceremonial FIRST MOVE by playing the
white pieces to formally inaugurate the
Camp. He congratulated the participants
and assured all help to the Ad-hoc
committee for the promotion of the game
of Chess.
The venue is AC Library Hall, OAS Bhavan,
BBSR.
Among others, Sri Sibabrata Dash,
Director, Kalinga Chess Academy, Sri
Manoj Panigrahi, Convenor, Adhoc
Committee, Sri Vivek Tibarewal, Co-ordinator
of the Camp, Sri Saroj Behera, Member,
Adhoc Committee and Sri Subasis Patnaik,
Secy, Khordha Chess were present.
Sri S.Satyapragyan, IM+ 2 GM norm holder
and the pride of Orissa and Mrs.
R.Aarthie, WGM, would be imparting
Coaching to the 10 participants who
attended the Camp. The participants
include Debasis Das, Utkal ranjan Sahoo,
Sankalp Baliarsingh all from Orissa,
Shiny Das from Tripura, Shreyansh Jain
Daklia from Chattisgarh, and Sayantan
Das, Diptayan Ghosh, Arpita Mukherjee,
Khusi Dharewa and Mitrabha Guha all from
West Bengal. Padmini Rout missed the
camp owing to play for INDIA at World
Junior at Argentina.
The Adhoc Committee thanked the All
India Chess Federation for imposing
FAITH on us and we are most willing to
shoulder the Responsibility bestowed
upon us by the Apex Chess Body of our
country
